AMANDA MARIA HUEBNER November 16, 1927 July 30, 2014 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Amanda Huebner on Wednesday, July 30 at her home at Donwood Manor. She leaves to mourn two sisters, Louise and (John) Dahl from Winnipeg and Hilda and (Neil) Rempel from Beloit, Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Amanda was born and raised on a farm in Manitou, Manitoba then moved to Winnipeg along with her parents. She took care of them until their death while she worked on her career. She worked for the government where she met the love of her life, Roy Widmeyer. Their love lasting till the day she passed. They traveled the world, golfed and just enjoyed each others company. She had a passion for photography, the albums of their travels could easily fill a room. Her home a memorial to her travels with the many souvenirs from each part of the world they visited! One of the things we loved about Aunt Mandy was her consistency in life. She had one house, one car, one job and one man! Her one and only car was a 1965 Malibu SS bought new at Carter Motors and still has her plates on it today! She opened her home to her many nieces and nephews, they would spend a night or even an extended stay to finish a class at university or find a job in the big city. Aunt Mandy was loved and will be missed! Special thanks to Roy for his love and commitment to her, and the staff at Donwood Manor. We as a family had a wonderful experience with Donwood Manor and they allowed us to relax knowing Mandy was in good hands.
